Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Shoreline
A chopper flying over a well-attended southern California beach suddenly commenced twirling wildly, finally dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators observed.
Videos posted online capture the aircraft starting to spin near the beach then descending near the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Local firefighters reported five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the road were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
